Meet Danielle

Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Hey y'all (as we say in the south)!

My name is Rebekah "Danielle" Nation and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I want to personally thank you for visiting my website and considering me as your next mental health provider.

A brief history

I was born and raised in Georgia, but relocated to the beautiful Treasure Valley region of Idaho to start my own private practice in Meridian, just outside Boise. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/Minor in Psychology from the Honor's College at the University of West Georgia. I obtained my Master's Degree in Nursing from there as well, and then furthered my education by receiving my Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. I am board certified through the American Nurse's Credentialing Center and currently hold a license in Idaho, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington. I am also an active member of the Neuroscience Education Institute.

Discovering my passion

I originally began working in the Intensive Care Unit and thought I wanted to be a Nurse Anesthetist, but after some time I realized it wasn't my true passion. In nursing school, I really enjoyed my mental health rotations so I jumped at the chance to work as an inpatient nurse when the hospital opened a brand new psychiatric facility. I worked there as a staff nurse for about 2 ½ years with children/adolescents and adults. After graduating with my nurse practitioner degree, I worked for a very busy private practice outside of Atlanta where I treated patients of all ages.

Why Idaho you ask?

Well, my family and I visited Boise in July 2014 and we absolutely fell in love. The scenery and people were just amazing and I knew this is where I wanted to start my own practice and raise my son.

How can I help?

I have experience in treating many disorders including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and bipolar. While I do have experience with schizophrenia and addiction, I am not currently treating those specific disorders in my private practice. I believe in providing compassionate care and work with my patients to reach their goals. Together we can get your life back on track to where you can feel whole again. Please call the office at 208-888-6264 or contact us with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

I look forward to meeting with you and guiding you on your journey to wellness!
